Personal Peak Coaching

Andy Walker is an experienced coach and NLP Practitioner, qualified in Coaching and Mentoring with the Chartered Management Institute.

“I have learned a great deal from elite sportsmen, military and commercial leaders about motivation and reasons why some people fail whilst others succeed. Most of the people I have coached were held back not by themselves or lack of hard work, but by either poor goal setting or the need for mental resilience training. Both of these are coachable.

Our coaching packages are individually designed for everyday people who want to achieve exceptional things. The objectives and benefits of achieving your personal peak therefore will be specifically tailored with each individual.

Peak Team

In business the word ‘team’ is often misused to describe dysfunctional committees that take two steps back for every one forward, groups that just do not come together for the better of the company, or project teams that engage in wishful ‘blue sky’ thinking rather than honest analysis. Anyone who has been part of any organisation — anything from a large international company to a small local council department — has experienced such behaviours that can occur when human beings try to work together in groups.

But does teamwork have to be a lost cause? Do we have to rely solely on the charismatic leader or the creative genius to squeeze satisfactory results from a mediocre workforce? Definitely not. The best chefs will testify they can only work with great ingredients. So too, our leaders can be enabled to achieve much more if we spend time developing the team. In fact research shows that almost every decision of consequence is either made or supported by a group, so it certainly pays to invest in improving the team’s understanding of the business and their accountabilities.

All team members must know what is expected of them. This programme introduces the team ethos so admired in the UK armed forces, adapted so your team know how to perform ‘at peak’ to support management and business success.

Peak Experience

It is too easy for companies to spend money on team building activities or team bonding days only to find that weeks later all that was remembered were ‘fun days out’. With Peak Experience you get outdoor development that gives every single attendee a glimpse of their potential as individuals, team members and leaders.

These activities are designed and supervised so that even the most junior of employees can have a go at leadership, so they can fully appreciate what it is like to be ‘in charge’. Also leaders can be reminded how it feels to follow!

As the day develops though so too do the challenges, as realistic scenarios are introduced for the attendees to control, manage and lead themselves. Everyone is also encouraged to analyse the experiences during periods of reflection so that they can relate what they have learned to the work place,

This is the ultimate experience to test and develop managers and their team – or both together. It is great as an opportunity for people who do normally interact on a regularly basis to do so in a fun, safe and exciting environment.
