Feeling proud and privileged to achieve 42 years’ service in the Royal Navy.

In January 1980, I left Derby as an unconfident 19-year-old to join the Royal Navy, unaware of the adventures and experiences that lay ahead. I had a great deal to learn!

Now, 42 years later, as my service comes to an end, I have much to reflect on and much to be thankful for - especially the ways I have developed. Learning about core values was priceless. Though the real privilege is the quality of the people I met and worked with who supported and inspired me. I am grateful and hopefully can repay that debt by helping to coach and develop others now through At Peak.
